Once a month, a small group of us walks the trails at Germania Springs — or wherever NE Alabama takes us. Cheaha, Chinnabee, the Pinhoti, the Chief Ladiga, Coldwater Mountain, Terrapin Creek.
We don't move fast. We talk, or we don't. There's no program. There's no worship set.
Just the trail, the people, and whatever comes up.
Where we go
Cheaha State Park
Highest point in Alabama. Boulders, views, manageable climb.
Chinnabee Silent Trail
Talladega National Forest. Creeks and quiet. Best in spring.
Pinhoti Trail sections
Multi-day trail, but we do day sections near Cleburne County.
Coldwater Mountain
Anniston. Mountain biking trails but walkable, good views of the valley.
Chief Ladiga Trail
Paved, flat, 33 miles. Good for a long walk without a climb.
